Half-baked but I think the left (?) people who convinced themselves staying on Twitter was defensible have not just had brains cooked by the Nazi stew but also drifted to the place where you can’t accept a decision was a bad one. Like the Twitter move has ruined the ability to assess any others.

I cancelled my monthly WFP dues after they endorsed Platner. I'm glad to see this now, but the red flags were there before. I also find it disappointing that this statement comes nearly a day after the Maine Democratic Party. WFP needs to do some real work to live up to its stated mission.

Mitch McConnell was in Congress during the Terri Schiavo case, so in a way it does feel like an act of delayed karmic justice if it turns out that it is in fact his turn to have the GOP puppet his corpse around to score political points rather than allowing him a peaceful exit with some dignity

A reminder how much American sports broadcasting is just about making the experience of watching a sport you have exclusive rights to suck as much as possible is how quickly it crumbles when exposed to literally any competition.

"They just want to turn it off." A fascinating story of the librarians who have started teaching classes showing people how to remove AI "features" from their phones and apps.

These Maine librarians are helping patrons resist AI and Big Tech
Despite breathless reporting on how AI is going to change the world, Hannah Cyrus, a Bangor librarian, said that, in her experience, most library patrons aren’t finding it helpful.

I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes this morning about French poetry, the World Cup, some stuff my kids said, heirloom bean recipes, and climate change. He is still recovering in the hospital

I spoke to Mitch McConnell today. He’s doing great in the hospital. Lots of bleeps and bloops concerning Iran and Ukraine. The unbreaking howl as he was pulled into the flaming maw of the abyss tells me he’s eager to get back to work.

There is no requirement for due process when selecting a political candidate. It’s not a trial. These are the guys Klippenstein has made his peers. And Michael Tracey.

Private equity is buying America's hospitals and nursing homes. The playbook: pile on debt, sell the building, cut staff. The result, one landmark study found: patient deaths up about 11%.
