Dad is home. I’m beat. Am I caught up on life now?

Everything said before about what is wrong with my dad is null. Apparently we are gonna throw antibiotics at it and send him home tomorrow? I dunno, but at least they finally fed him dinner. So that is a thing.

Fancy lunch date with hubby by the romantic glow of the nurse’s station fluorescents and the melodic murmuring of doctors and nurses accompanied by monitor beeps and buzzes. And they say romance is dead.

I know *way* too much about the inner workings of this hospital at this point as I’ve spent far too much time there in the past year. 😞

Dad admitted last night. Waiting to find out what’s next after tests and consults this morning. Waiting and not knowing sucks.

Dad is back in hospital. After nearly a week of positive improvement, today there is internal bleeding from the surgical area. Driving my mom there through the dark, stormy night. It’s… unnaturally poetic and I am not amused.

I used to actually get called in sooner being on waitlists. I'm convinced that the "Waitlist" is just a thing they tell you exists but it doesn't now, though. Appointments take months and I never get calls except to cancel me if the doctor goes on vacation. 🙃
