Watching a clip from John Wick, I notice this time he has a nipping press (a press used in bookbinding) in his basement and a huge number of leather bound books. Apparently, Keanu studied bookbinding for the movie and deleted scenes show him at work! Wild.

The whole AI-to-make-graduation- efficient is bizarre. The most efficient way to award diplomas is by mail; there’s no logical need for ceremonies. The whole reason they exist is for the human touch & so people can celebrate each other. AI for “efficiency” here is nonsensical (& doesn’t even work🫠)

I don't know how much it broke through to people who weren't on the ground in the Twin Cities during Metro Surge, but ICE agents were so horned up for violence that they did shit like shoot through closed doors and into childrens' bedrooms. It was all a power fantasy come to life for them.

A typical mid-sized private jet consumes 300 gal/hr and jet fuel has increased 27% since the Iran Adventure began. That's about +$500 per flight hour, perhaps +$900/hr for a large Gulfstream-sized jet. If they're mad about a tax and silent on that, it's not about money, it's *zizek voice* ideology.

If you have little PVC guys (like these Tintins, or old happy meal or cereal toys, etc) and wanna put 'em on your shelf, but they fall over because they don't have a base, squeeze out a glob of high-temp hot glue into a puddle, let it cool just a little, stick their feet in, and paint to match.

Waymo would rather ppl think they screwed up than help ppl understand this (hundreds to thousands of trips by empty robots) is the AI/ML way. The only Waymo routing "error" in this overblown/viral story involving a block of the more privileged in Atlanta was the density of robots per hour, AFAICT.
