Lots of kid movies fall into this camp, but one that stands out is RANGO - I ended up going because one of the shots in the trailer was so beautifully composed (by Roger Deakins, turned out) that I thought I might give it a try. What a weird, impeccably designed, unexpectedly idiosyncratic picture

I drew up these roughs to show what the stretch goal extras (not yet made) would look like, but in doing so I did a lot of the prelim work for them in ways I'm very happy with, and I would've had a much harder time of it if I were moving to do the "actual" roughs/ pencils.

I worked with Andriy on the Outlaw's Apprentice logo and it was the best design experience I've ever had. I can't imagine that my touting his prowess and professionalism would carry more weight than does the obvious artistry of his examples, but just in case: highest possible recommendation!

I relate to this. I was just talking with friends about how my own toxic masculinity jumps out when I see other people narrowly defining masculinity. It's the same genre of reaction as "That's not a knife...this is a knife!" in my head, I think.

One of the traits that I dislike the most in myself is my immediate and intense desire to pop the noggin of any fella deriding someone else for not conforming to their view of manliness/masculinity. Come on, friend, you're barely six feet tall and have a noggin that would be mighty easy to pop

When in college, cutting through a state park on the way back home, I, an idiot, got out of my car and went into the woods because I thought I saw a brown bear or grizzly (they do have humps), and we only have black bears hereabouts, far's I know, so I was curious. But it was a bison!
