What's wild to me is that Gutierrez is smart, and he made this decision with 100% certainty that he wasn't being paid for involving himself in the project; he was being paid to *forever* lose the respect, support, and affection of his peers and his audience. What's the price tag for that?

Started watching the 2nd season of Fallout and it reminds me of how impactful SIX-STRING SAMURAI was for teenaged me. I mail-ordered a VHS after seeing its ad in the back of Black Belt magazine; I learned to play the guitar (badly) because of it! Surely a factor in my making movies in HS & College!

I actually have THREE digital drawing tools/brushes - for the hard edge pencil tool I have TWO presets: the default one, and a preset where I've locked the minimum diameter at about 60% to mimic my on-paper inking

Deadwood circa 1876 & a few years after. Note the huge hole being dug in the street in the first pic. Despite its primitive look, in 1878 Deadwood was the first town in the country* to have citywide phone service (with a line directly to the White House). There was only one phone available though.

Summer is when I feel most like reading and watching horror fiction, because when I was a kid, summer was the spookiest time! You stay out for an hour after the sun sets while it's *technically* still light enough to play, but dark enough to be spooky. The corn is high enough to get lost in!

A lot of folks treat October as their horror month, but for me, July and August is when I watch or read everything of interest that came out the previous year. That said, folks are starting to spoil Widow's Bay, and so while I don't particularly like to early things, I may need to.

People don't long for "inconvenience." They long for permanence. And though streaming services may be convenient, people are waking up to the fact that we are paying rent-seeking middle men month after month for things we will never actually own.

Every once in a while I beg certain comic book artists out there to please consider drawing their characters' mouths open more often when they are speaking/emoting. Indy, artsy and mainstream. Your endlessly tight-lipped bad actors are dead on the page, killing dialogue and snuffing emotion.

I like F-C PITT pens for inking, but they don't offer different colors* in their fixed line sizes (0.5/F,0.7/M). So I take the tips out of those, clean them (water, then soak in rubbing alcohol), and pop 'em into PITT colored brush pens after removing the brush tip. Then: blue splinter, orange fire
