With current pledges, the world's on track for 2.6°C of warming in 2100 compared to preindustrial levels. 10 years ago, before the Paris agreement, it was 3.6°C 20+ years ago, we thought it would be 4-5°C So 2.6°C is better, but the problem is that climate impacts are way worse than we predicted.

Like clockwork, on my annual battle with the winter, in which I try to hold off on turning on the heat until as long as possible, when I finally go "FINE that's IT I can't TAKE it anymore" I look at the thermostat and it's 58 degrees. Literally 3 years in a row, 58 degrees is when I give up.

Met my future wife at an art show last night

Equal parts so excited to see Frankenstein tonight, because I love Guillermo del Toro, and scared I'm going to fall asleep watching it, because this first week back has been exhausting and I'm not quite functional past 9pm yet 😬

Having a moment of community joy in the pool locker room with the retirees because the hot water was broken for two hours, and it’s BACK baby. A real exercise in appreciating the small stuff.

It’s been a while since I had to really force myself to stay awake on the train but hoo boy, jet lag + blood donation + 2 drinks is really challenging me right now. I do not ever recommend falling asleep on any train, but especially the El. 2 more stops. Must. Stay. Conscious.
