Amazing story. This man owes his release in part to befriending a guy in prison who was ALSO exonerated and then got out, started an investigations company, and did not forget his old friendâs wrongful conviction. But how painful to lose 33+ years of freedom

Epstein is the most garish and harrowing manifestation of this but oligarchy makes life miserable in a thousand other ways. A core point of democracy is that no one should have so much power that they can make themselves everybody's problem. We should have a political party that believes that

Netflix and Amazon are scooping up podcasts for streaming but do the deals fall under Reality TV or Talk Shows? Both have union protections but podcasts don't. TLDR: Streamers are buying talk shows at podcast prices & writers/actors/crews could suffer. New post:

I spoke with a forensic pathologist on the risks of shackling for long periods -- excruciating pain, bruising, cuts, permanent nerve damage, and a "very high risk" of developing blood clots that could become deadly. She described these flights as torture.

DHS has a whole citizen detainment system set up in Minnesota. They snatch citizens off the street (often with proof they are citizens), detain them for a few hours, steal their phones, then release them into the cold. It ainât about deporting citizens; itâs about terrorizing a whole population.

Think about it like this. This ICE agent was on camera and unmasked â fulfilling one of three "demands" Democratic leader Chuck Schumer just issued in order to agree to save Republicans and give DHS even more money. And he was still threatening to kill someone.

Immigration is a fake problem. We have politicians on the one hand who want to use immigrants as scapegoats for our real ones and politicians on the other who are too cowardly to stand against them and tell the truth. That is the entire situation. Until that changes, people will continue to die.

The article says immigration agents took this kid's phone. And then the phone showed up for sale at a vending machine near an ICE facility? Did ICE agents STEAL and SELL this kid's PHONE? This obviously isn't the worst of what's described in the article. But it tells you something.
