While I would agree with the general analysis here of the Holderman signing, I would disagree that the Guardians didn't need to sign a reliever. They very much did (especially in light of losing Jakob Junis to free agency), even if they didn't desperately need a back-end guy

putting aside everything else, it's once again notable to me that he mentions it hasn't made them more efficient. the fundamental limitations of this tech make it useless at nearly all its stated claims. further iteration doesn't fix this.
