When my kid was 4 we started Bedtime Qs: ask anything you want during snuggles. His first Q: "What happens after we die?" Day 2: "Why do some people do mean things?" Day 3: "What was the very first plant?" MANY followup Qs. Explaining Gay was easy!

Whether people can work from home is not actually an issue politicians get to have a say on, it's entirely up to employers. So if a spokesperson for a political party starts spouting off about ending working from home, they're just being a tedious controversialist to get people talking about them.

It doesn't matter how well my latest novel went down. My publisher has told me they don't want my new collection of short stories as they can't use short stories to bring my work to a broader audience. And you know what? Fuck sending them to another publisher. I'm putting them out myself.

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams
