A nice hour spent sat at the kitchen sink (the best bird-view in the house!) for the @rspb.bsky.social #BigGardenBirdWatch today. Biggest joy was the flock of redwings- significantly more were around (maybe 20?) but they didn't all land in view!

So psyched our hour featured long tailed tits in our garden for the very first time. Sadly our greenfinch and great tit didn't get the message to be out today

I’m pleased to say the birds were very obliging this morning. The goldfinches were out in force as usual, and the bullfinch pair were a rare treat. No sparrows today though, they must have been busy elsewhere! #biggardenbirdwatch

#BigGardenBirdwatch 🐦🔭 Spending an hour watching the birds in our little sub-urban garden? Yes please! Equipped with binoculars and notebook, 16 birds of 9 species, including Collared Doves, Wood Pigeon, Blue and Great tits, Blackbird, Starlings, Magpies, House Sparrow and Robin @rspb.bsky.social

Woodpeckers, a jay, a goldcrest, and a redwing plus the usual tits & robins. Great success this year! Lots of fun, do support & take part.
