The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

Carter: Colonel! O'Neill (p90 pointed offscreen): come on, Daniel, what does it say? Daniel Jackson: well if Im reading this right, they worshipped a being named "Miette", who had the power to imprison you for... one thousand years... Teal'c: I believe it would be most unwise to awaken this "Miette"

Watching Project Hail Mary has inspired me as an author. I've resolved that, if there is ever a screen-adaptation of Spirit Level, all the Cork characters will be practical effects, done by puppeteers. Not CGI.

Just met a friend I used to play football with from Lebanon who told me eight relatives have been killed so far this year. If you think war and genocide are making the world in any way safer, think again.

I have deleted my original debunk of this story as it appears it is actually an amalgamation of 2 stories... (Don't let anyone tell you I'm not prepared to be corrected!!) So let's look at them individually: We'll start with the photo... So what's going on? 🧵1/12

Suburban Homeowner Starts, Loses Fight With Enormous Jack Reacher Star Alan Ritchson | Defector
For my money, the funniest recurring bit in Amazon’s highly variable action-comedy series Reacher is the use it makes of its main character’s blank, brutal sociopathy. Reacher, in Reacher, is generall...

Solo isn't bad but it does the cardinal sin of prequels where it takes a character and goes "Hey. Look at this guy. All of the stuff we show and say about him implies he's led quite the colourful life. Wrong. All that stuff happened to him in one long weekend".

We used to go down to Wexford every summer holiday to my Grandad's caravan & there was a random donkey in the field beside it. My parents told me that it was our donkey, called Freida, but we had to keep it in Wexford because our garden wasn't big enough. I looked forward to seeing Freida all year
