I often think about how radically the public understanding of teenage girls and sex has changed. This is very much what I remember from my childhood, when the girls were often blamed. But grooming 12 year olds was always abuse, even if the establishment of the time didn’t care to see it that way.

It shocked me how much of local government is run by volunteers. Local councillors are volunteers with a small allowance. Local political parties are entirely run by volunteers. And the demographic problem is huge. Vast amounts of infrastructure will vanish if we can't solve this problem.
