it's funny how farage has been basically given free reign to say "we're going to slash taxes and improve public services and kick out all the immigrants and you'll all be millionaires" for thirty years, but as soon as someone from the left comes along, Very Serious People want to know "how it works"

The easiest way to never get in arguments on social media is to assume the other person is 13. Does their bio say "45, husband, father, Christian"? No it doesn't, that boy is 13. Don't argue with a 13-year-old, you weirdo.

My hairdresser and friend opened her business last week. Tonight it burned to the ground. This is devastating. I’ve set up a fundraiser. If you haven’t done anything for international women’s day yet, here’s a chance to support a women-run business in need:

to ask why The Last Leg repeatedly platform Tories, like Penny Mordaunt and Sayeeda Warsi, in a way that simply launders their reputation, despite everything their party has done towards disabled people over the years?

I know there's a lot wrong with the BBC but it makes my soul sink at the thought of it not being there and things like Small Prophets only being on Netflix, which costs more than the license fee anyway.

I don't personally enjoy opera or ballet, but I would still fistfight Timothee Chalamet in an Applebee's parking lot to defend their value as an art form.

Regional art collections are our history and identity. Once it’s sold off, it’s gone for good. Works belong to the communities that shaped them and have a connection to a place that's irreplaceable. Cultural heritage is so much more than monetary value and needs protecting.

Its really weird the NHS advert for childhood vaccines shows them wrapping kids in cotton wool and bubblewrap. Because isn't that always used to mean being unnecessarily overprotective?

On the one hand YouTube is a giant radicalisation machine that is pushing existing global political structures to breaking point. On the other, there’s ALWAYS a video by a retired handymen showing how to fix the door slide on your specific brand of kitchen drawer. So I’m calling it a score draw.

Watched Passport To Pimlico - It was fun, and honestly would probably make a great play/musical. But it did go on a bit long and the ending was a bit confusing, but the central conceit is such a fun premise

The main thing is that it's entirely divorced from income or work or anything material, and exists solely as a set of ever-changing and frequently outdated signifiers used to dismiss the opinions of others, or more frequently their value as humans altogether.
