I'm very serious guys: there are a lot of mutuals all of us have on here that have decided this rolling stone article is the chance to argue that "actually data centers aren't that big of a problem, it's just industrial farming" and every single one of them is in the programming/ML training world

Ever so slowly it will dawn on them that nobody wants their oil. Fracking has made lighter, sweeter oil available and electrification has reduced demand. The tar sands are through. They're just getting what they can until the plants wear out.

I used to be an oil executive. Here’s how market forces, not politics, killed the oil boom—and why new pipelines won't save the country.

The subtext in JD Vance asking for "patience" on the economy: When leaders stop talking about current conditions and jump straight to rosy forecasts, they’re signaling the present isn’t defensible. That’s your cue to scrutinize the numbers, not just the narrative.

to that end, multiple people suggested to me that the Indian and Nigerian accounts are actually Russians using VPNs to appear to be in other countries. Ok if they have VPNs that can spoof their IP to appear to be in a different country why would they pretend to be in India instead of the US?

If anything, cell companies really need to take stock of how lucky they are iPhone has an iron grasp on the American electorate because had Android become the standard like it has in most places, they'd get less scrape off sales and at this point a ~300 dollar android does what 95% of people need.
