Our military is being paid by an anonymous donor. Our WH East Wing was demolished for a ballroom - paid for by donors. These aren’t acts of benevolence or patriotism. This is the oligarchy assuming control, insidiously becoming part of how we function. Every American should reject it.

Our job is to love our kids the way God loves us: completely, abundantly, joyfully, unconditionally, infinitely. It should be noted that this is how we are asked to love everyone as well. All of humanity. It shocks me how often these so-called "christians" forget this.

Again, any serious vision of a post-Trumpism America must center around the dismantling of the post-industrial economy. Call it corporatism or capitalism or techno-capitalism or neoliberalism...I don't really give a fuck. It must be destroyed.

It's really frustrating how the ~Anglican Communion* Unity~ handwringing always happens over women and LGBTQ+ people and not, say, divorced men in the episcopate. *The Anglican Communion has only been a thing since the 19th century

Look, they do not have the capacity or competence to do this at the scale they want you to fear they do, and your fear is precisely their greatest force multiplier. Everybody who is cowed into silence by their threats allows them a smaller pool to focus on.

This is what David Brooks meant when he said a conservative had texted him that Kirk was their George Floyd. They didn't mean that Kirk was a victim of a profound injustice. In the conservative mind, Floyd was used as a symbolic pretext to reorient society. They want to use Kirk that way.

It's so bizarre. Every single evidence is that trans people commits less violent crimes than non-trans. Fascism is linked to praising the greatest crime of the last century. But "trans ideology" was considered a self-evident explanation, while "he is fascist" isn't. Insanely backwards.

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.
