No it can't. And in the private sector for SBE type projects, they aren't interested in basic science at all. They're interested in the science that can inform how to get what they want - framing, priming, etc. Almost entirely applied science in these realms. Or, social science as a tool of comms.

You cannot be pro-liberal democracy and support Orban. There is just no way to square that circle. A decade into Trumpism and we still don't have a grasp on how to deal with open authoritarianism. The electorate can only make a big deal about this if political actors act like it's important.
