These transcripts are absolutely infuriating; the immigration judge completely refuses to acknowledge the unusual situation around the Somali docket and just plows forward despite the lawyer repeatedly saying that the schedule destroys any real ability to prepare, then acts insulted at pushback.

That exchange happened on March 12. On March 10, in front of the same judge, you can see why it ended up so testy. Here's the lead plaintiff explaining that it would violate her ethical duties to schedule cases back-to-back-to-back-to-back, to which the IJ just shrugs and denies her motion.

In this lawsuit there's a transcript of an infuriating exchange between the lead plaintiff and an immigration judge assigned to the Somali docket. She explains why the schedule is a travesty and laughs at the absurdity, which the IJ takes poorly, leading to a testy exchange. I'm fully on her side.

This is an absolute scandal; the United States government is deliberately consolidating all deportation cases of an ethnic minority that the President has called "garbage" in front of a handpicked group of judges and with dramatically accelerated timeline. A lawsuit was filed yesterday against it.
