It's been over a month that federal workers & contractors have gone without pay. They've had to take out loans, work side gigs, & visit food pantries to make ends meet. Why? Because Trump & Republicans refuse to negotiate to reopen the govt & save healthcare for millions.

Our federal workers & contractors are headed into another month without pay. I shared a meal with a few @unitehere.org workers, many of whom work in food service, to hear how this GOP shutdown has impacted them. My bill would ensure they get their rightful backpay once the govt reopens.

Our girls are limitless. It was so fulfilling to co-host our Girl Scouts at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for a special civic engagement day. They were sworn in as "Senators for a Day," drafted legislation, delivered floor speeches, & encouraged to step into their power.
