New York City: Snow is here. We’ve already seen 1–2 inches across the city, with more on the way tomorrow—heaviest between 8 a.m. and noon, and again from 4–7 p.m. If you can, stay off the roads. If you need to travel, give yourself extra time and move with care.

Last year's arrest of Mahmoud Khalil was more than just a chilling act of political repression, it was an attack on all of our constitutional rights. Now, as the crackdown on pro-Palestinian free speech continues, Mahmoud is being threatened with rearrest. Mahmoud is free—and must remain free.

For so many Brooklynites, Rev. Clinton Miller was the leader they looked to for guidance and grace, for clarity amidst a world that often doesn’t make sense. I join so many across our city—his family, his congregants at Brown Memorial, and everyone who knew him—in mourning his loss.

Today, a case was filed on behalf of the City of New York to get our city’s delivery workers the money they are owed.

For too long, companies like Motoclick stole tips from delivery workers and ignored the minimum pay rate law. Under our administration, they won’t get away with it any longer.

Small businesses shouldn’t have to navigate 6,000 regulations and rules to start and stay open in NYC. Today, I signed an executive order to cut the fines and fees small businesses pay and finally deliver relief.

Taxi drivers show up for New Yorkers day and night, carrying our families, our workers, our city. They deserve a government that shows up for them with the same consistency.

Last week, we announced a plan to make child care universal. Today, applications are open for pre-K & 3-K. If your child is turning 3 or 4, apply now for the fall at: myschools.nyc

Our values and our laws are not bargaining chips. We will always defend New Yorkers, even in the face of federal threats to withhold funding.

Four years ago, seventeen of our neighbors perished at Twin Parks in one of the deadliest fires in modern New York City history.

On day 8 of our Administration, @governor.ny.gov and I announced the beginning of universal childcare in NYC. No longer will New Yorkers be forced to choose between starting a family and continuing to live in the city they love. This only happened because of you.

As I said earlier today, chants in support of a terrorist organization have no place in our city. We will continue to ensure New Yorkers’ safety entering and exiting houses of worship as well as the constitutional right to protest.

New York City is the cultural capital of the world and art shouldn’t be a luxury only some of us can afford. I’m grateful for Under the Radar Theater Festival’s generosity and partnership towards that vision as they announce 1,500 free tickets for New Yorkers.

This morning, Ms. Rachel and I visited District 2 Pre-K Center, where we sang and read with the wonderful students and educators. We also discussed universal childcare - and how we're making it happen for NYC!

It’s time for universal childcare. Yesterday, Governor Kathy Hochul and I celebrated our commitment to New Yorkers: you will be able to afford to raise your kids in the city you call home.

Last night’s shootings at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and in the West Village are devastating to all New Yorkers. I know many are eager for answers. The NYPD is conducting an internal investigation — I will work with Commissioner Tisch to ensure this is as thorough and swift as possible.
