George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics. And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK. He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.

My son is autistic, largely nonverbal. He reads a lot, is smitten with all things Lego. He excels in school. He finds his ways to communicate. There’s nothing wrong with autism. The rhetoric drives me mad. It’s on us to make the world easier for neurodiverse folks, not to push them to conform.

A lot of libraries also have physical media you can check out. Our local system has movies, audiobooks TV etc. I do realize it’s not practical to always do that, but it’s a good option! Also getting involved in your local library & its board can help!

Gregory Bovino, leader of Trump’s LA and Chicago raids, personally testified that he saw a protestor strike a Border Patrol agent. The jury did not believe him and the protestor was acquitted. The Trump admin is losing these cases left and right. Their credibility with jurors is virtually nil.
