British newspaper headline, huge: IS THIS INSANE FAR RIGHT CONSPIRACY THEORY ACTUALLY TRUE? British newspaper subhead, in the smallest font possible: no, but we thought we’d discuss it at length anyway

good to see the government hasn’t or chooses not to recognise where ‘a lot of people’ get their information is a polluted & toxic environment; it’s like saying you shouldn’t close a well that’s poisoning people because ‘a lot of people’ get their water there

All about the framing. Same people who were losing their minds about Starmer's *declared* small donations, screeching "WHAT INFLUENCE WAS LABOUR PEER BUYING IN EXCHANGE FOR A SUIT AND SOME EYEGLASSES???", now present Farage accepting millions of dodgy foreign crypto like some sort of achievement.

As yet another sign of the fast-moving window of what is seemingly acceptable on the UK right, this article does not once mention that Lowe leads a far right party which does not disavow support from open racists and antisemites.

They are all very deliberately ignoring the express wishes of Henry Nowak's family; the judge's sentencing report & the obvious, albeit brief, consequences of a crime being reported exclusively by a lying associate of the perpetrator. It may feel futile but this has to be repeated again & again.

so a vast territory of British media, from print to broadcast, is now firing out far-right theories and treating them as ‘legitimate concerns’ when they are nothing of the sort and do not apply to what has taken place. A total collapse of standards which legitimises the far-right

The right in this country have totally lost it, a complete and utter collapse of any kind of cordon sanitaire with the far right in favour of gutter racism. It's been slow, but the grinding move from "anti-white racism is real" from far right agitprop to Times leader is complete.

The total line up is at least Laurence Fox, Tommy Robinson, Nick Tenconi, Paul Golding, and Luke Jahn. This was not community anger at policing. It was an organized, national far-right riot.

I am really, really worried about how little mainstream broadcasters and politicians are pushing back against explicit racism. It isn’t difficult to contextualise or challenge with facts. They manage it on other topics.

When the father of a murdered son makes a public statement saying "we do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension", then I believe it's incumbent on any news outlet reporting on Farage's comments to ensure people know he has chosen to disregard the family's wishes.

I don't think that there can be any doubt that this shift even further to the right is being spurred on by Elon Musk and his control of X (and backing for Restore Britain). It is the most glaring evidence of foreign interference in British politics. It's right there in front of us - and the Govt.
