Every small town should have a Local Zines stand in/around the town hall where I can go and give everyone $3 for their weird ideas written down and photocopied at the library or the Rec Center or the VFW or wherever

I think one of the worst parts of the structural collapse we're all experiencing is simply the feeling that it's going to keep getting worse. Sure we can pivot with our team's needs, minimize expectations and programs when funds shift, and move resources to where they're needed...

40 issues of my Public Collectors project QUARANZINE from 2020 are on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago now until July 2026. That is 11 months. It just occurred to me: What will this country even be in 11 months? What will it be in 4 months? That feels like an eternity right now.

NYC Folks, Megan has gifted us with another zine. I distributed over 500 copies of their NYC primary guide zine and so many people were grateful to have it. I am going to print 1000 copies of this to distribute.

One of my zine friends and wasted ink vendors popped into the shop today with pastries and that was so dang kind and generous. Blessed are those who show up with pastries 💜

Trying not to be an absolute grouch :(, but the amount of cancellations, applications denied, and dead ends are really adding up. (And I still can't go for a walk to clear my head cuz it's 108° out rn) Truly only accepting good news for the rest of 2025!

After spending 7 non-consecutive hours on reviewing final decisions on 126 PZF vendors and doing the table layout for a 2 day zine fest...I reaaally want to go for a walk to clear my mind...but it's 107° out. :'(

2/2 Zines in Tucson: Finally got to visit the zine library at Groundworks. Tucson Zine Fest is hosting monthly zine workshops here and building community in an all-ages sober space at Groundworks. Really neat to see!

1/2 Zines in Tucson: this is my friend Ames's project of little zine libraries throughout the city. They do Outspoken and Bookish and host a variety of in-person and virtual events! Loved seeing this at Revolutionary Grounds.

Last night's reading was truly wonderful!! We had six readers with various styles that made us laugh and cry with their words and acapella songs. It was good to see friends Daryl and James too who are wrapping up their 16-day tour. It was a feral night of poetry indeed!

Ok how many email newsletters is too many each month? We only send out two right now, we know we could probably send one out weekly. There's shops that send out 3+ weekly. How many newsletters do you read? What's the sweet spot?

It's over 110° all week which means very few people will visit our shop in person....which means I'm bored and under stimulated at the distro. Catch me singing at the top of my lungs, crying on the floor, and sorting things by color. PLEASE come keep me company haha

It's good to read about the history of queer press because you can see how every move toward censorship is just part of a playbook that has been tried hundreds maybe thousands of times. While censorship laws absolutely do hurt people and make things harder, they never win, and they will never win.
