So cool they discovered the cause of autism on basically day they guessed they would. I’m also glad they are withholding this information for a few days to prep for a WrestleMania-style announcement. This is how science works.

💯. Progressives have to stop franchising out their consciences to the courts. Politics is about moral choices. The problem with Reform's proposal isn't that "the courts won't allow it". It's that it's grotesque and inhuman. If we're democrats, we must believe that this argument can be won.

"They've said they'd do that" is crucial. The most important lesson of the last ten years is: when these people tell you who they are, believe them. Anyone saying "surely even Reform wouldn't go that far" just hasn't been paying attention.

The President of the United States PUBLICLY pressuring the Attorney General go after his political enemies. And an entire political party, and half the country, will yawn & look the other way. Sure, blame Trump for democracy & the rule of law slipping away. But so, so many others deserve blame too.

Triannual rewatch of MASTER AND COMMANDER tonight. Thinking this time about the total clarity of the action in the final battle sequence—it's chaotic and dizzying, but each moment of combat has a coherent sense of cause and effect, and because you've come to know each face, the deaths have impact.

I confess I become increasingly irritated with Brits who inform me in what kind of deep trouble my country is in, and how blind we are supposedly to this, at a time when right wing nationalism is surging in Britain and NATO is hanging by a thread. My Friends. We are in the same boat.

Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion. Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

It’s so bizarre to hear my own actions be lied about. No, I wasn’t storming the facility. I was trying to help a protester who was about to be run over by a car. Yes, I was wearing a mask. We were being gassed + shot w/ pepper balls. Ofc that doesn’t matter to Laura Ingraham but it’s still weird.
