One of the ways elected Democrats could combat obvious media bias is to start calling it out. I watched for decades as Republicans worked the refs to great effect and Democrats, faced with an antagonistic media, one almost entirely captured by the right, still treat them as good faith actors.

I wish it were more broadly understood that Trump constantly and explicitly holds up his naked corruption *as a badge of honor* that his supporters are supposed to thrill to (and see benefit for themselves in). He thinks corruption is the highest form of winning.

Ethnic cleansing

A lot of Rust Belt spots fall into this category - refugees did the same to many Buffalo neighborhoods and stabilized the population that had been declining since WWII. That didn't stop suburban whites from grousing about their presence though.

Hard-working, church-going, Haitian immigrants helped pull Springfield, Ohio out of being an economic shithole by doing the jobs the local white population was too lazy, unreliable, and drug addicted to do. And their reward is to be punished for it. Springfield would rather die of whiteness.
