It's actually insane to me that Silvestri, an absolute CHAMP with memorable hooks (he also scored Flight Of The Navigator, Death Becomes Her, Lilo & Stitch, and Clan of Cave Bear) didn't actually score a superhero film until 2011. Although it's the second one he scored that's more iconic.

Like I said when first seeing this scene, this is *proof* Hank isn't a right-winger. Stuck in his ways? Yes. But he'll acknowledge other viewpoints when explained to him in a way he understands - note his and Peggy's reactions to gender-neutral bathrooms as well: it's just a bit of confusion, then-

what I like about this scene is the way it seems to play off of a decade of King of the Hill Discourse and setting up a specific outcome, then it goes the opposite but also correct way. new King of the Hill was not, in fact, just Hank lamenting that The World Was Different Now and that's good.

Every once in a while, I still think about this scene from the King of the Hill reboot, which was fantastic. And that comes from someone who grew up with the show. "It's nice to be nice." Such a simple and effective message.
