This 53 year old man who lived in my neighborhood w/no criminal record & who had been in the US for 30 years, was detained and thrown into a cold cell for days, caught pneumonia and COVID there and deported. He finally died. I am so angry.

Just heard about Fredrick Brennan's death. He was a genuine example of how a person can try to make right the things they did wrong and do better. He got 8chan taken down and essentially deplatformed. And he never misrepresented who he was or the mistakes he made. We could all do that more.

The Metropolitan Police are contacting Andrew's former protection officers and asking them to "consider carefully" what they may have seen or heard in relation to Epstein. That is the term they used.

i've decided not to listen to the audio of a teacher reporting a kindergartender because frankly I don't want to become the person that that event would turn me into. but one thing I hope we are collectively coming to grips with is what it meant that we have lived among such people this whole time

Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

Sadly though, a committed cast and haunting score can only do so much to distract from the film's terribly cheap looking, comically treacherous roads, and a bridge so poorly constructed I spent the whole scene genuinely worried it may collapse under these trucks. Sorcerer (dir. Friedkin) * /*****

If one is looking for left-FP ideas from electeds in the US, could do worse than follow the lead of Ilhan Omar, who has repeatedly put forth a repeal of the Hague Invasion Act as a core necessity for international rule of law. US alignment should not function as a backstop against justice for crimes

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
