The Payback is out in paperback today, it’s the same great student loan industry heist novel in a smaller size and lower price.

It's just the barely suppressed racism of the dementia-ravaged president coming out publicly in an act of rage because he has no self control or self awareness anymore. Nothing at all to worry about.

Today marks four years since an Israeli soldier shot and killed US citizen and journalist Shireen Abu Akleh while she was wearing her press vest and covering the news. The IDF has continued to target journalists with impunity. No one has been held accountable for Shireen's killing.

again, i don’t think any of this is necessary. just say that the court was out of bounds, that it may be correct on the definition of “election” but that this technical matter has no bearing on the results of the referendum, which occurred in a free and fair contest.

No offense to the person who said something like “oh good for your dad,” but my mom is extremely happily divorced. Like if you have a happy boomer-aged mom I’m assuming she is divorced and if she’s not I am pleasantly surprised.

Example a million of an outlet bozoing out to legitimize a fascist idiot. You can’t take his framing at face value because it is already immediately absurd. Even arduously debunking a bonkers claim is lending it credibility. Just say he’s an idiot and move on.

If you want to get technical, the Virginia redistricting referendum happened before the Supreme Court's Callais decision. So whatever the Virginia court's rationale for rejecting Virginia voters' decision, it doesn't apply to the Virginia state legislature and governor acting based on Callais.

in sports fandom if you have a coach who keeps losing games they should win everyone calls for them to be fired, but in democratic politics the bad coaches are defended by a hoard of people who insist you point out the real travesty is the other team tried to score goals.

In response to redistricting rulings that have gone against them over the last 18 months, Utah Republicans have (1) passed a law to pack the court and are about to name two new justices, and (2) have launched a major push to oust two justices in their retention races this fall.
