Great article. I've long thought it was fascinating to realize that Scorsese probably made more money from syndicated repeats of this sitcom then from all the movies he's directed put together.

It is such a scam that you have to join Muck Rack in order to change the profile you never created to stop getting constant, wildly off-base pitches from PR people. PR people: If you use AI scams like Muck Rack to send pitches, you are actively making the world worse. Stop it.

But because they care, and they can’t deal with feeling shame, they have to find ways to preempt it. Shutting down critical speech. Writing off most people as evil or deluded to convince themselves that the only opinions that matter are those of a small minority of society, other true believers.
