Not a single objective has been achieved. No regime change, no elimination of the missile launching capabilities, no commitment on the nuclear program. Iran now has a tollbooth at one of the world's busiest waterways. What an absolute fiasco.

Today I learned that one should ask a hospital where a loved one is being treated in an *ICU* if they will be monitored and treated by on-site care providers or through remote telehealth. This fatal dystopian story is about Yale New Haven Health.

Dental student died in ICU overseen by remote 'tele-health' physician: Lawsuit
A 26-year-old dental student in Connecticut died in an intensive care unit that was overseen by a remote "tele-health" doctor who pronounced him dead on a video screen, a lawsuit says.

"Croesus then asked if he should make war on the Persians and if he should take to himself any allied force. The oracles to whom he sent this question included those at Delphi and Thebes. Both oracles gave the same response, that if Croesus made war on the Persians he would destroy a mighty empire."

Solar power in Africa is heating up β thanks in part to chili peppers | CBC News
They're the chili peppers in the spicy chicken at a restaurant you might know. And they were an ingredient used by a Canadian company to build the first solar power plants in Malawi.

Think about every billionaire who simultaneously believes his job is indispensable and irreplaceable and extremely taxing, and that he can also do it while chatting nonstop 24/7 with Epstein and shitposting, and then sending exactly 3 emails a day related to business.

So the thing about the drama that not enough people are talking about is that it's not drama but a legit smear campaign from the right and music execs. She said "give artists health insurance" once and they said "well we gotta take her down"

Since the toilets on Orion are a continuing topic of fascination, here's a thread about space toilets. It's not just about function - toilets are symbolic and social too, and raise issues of privacy and intimacy. This image shows how to use the Apollo Fecal Containment Device.

The state pension is a benefit. You pay NI for the entitlement to access it, but the cash you get back does not come from your own contributions. Be thankful that it does not: the typical 60-year-old has paid in Β£134k in NI, but will get back Β£222k in SP payments. 4/5

The horse op-ed is an instant classic. I can't tell you how much joy this piece gives me. It should be taught in every introductory writing class in no small part because the horse arguments are so compelling. "I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children."

Reminder that the moon that orbits the Earth has a name in English and that name is the Moon. There are lots of nicknames and names in other languages (Luna, for instance) but technically in English it is just the Moon. The concept of a moon is uncapitalized; our moon is the Moon.
