Energy transitions can happen faster than we think: In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels. In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays: Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink. If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business. Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

I won't start ranting about it because I just get myself worked up, but quickly: I literally can not think of an investment of public funds that has a higher return than *cleaning the indoor air in schools*. It's so easy, so cheap, & has such HUGE payoff. Criminal that we basically don't do it.

Using the notwithstanding clause to stop legal challenge to back-to-work legislation is a nuclear event for all unions. Will it lead to a general strike in Alberta? It certainly should lead to the Supreme Court establishing Constitutional limits to the clause, or else we have no rights and freedoms.

Alberta's crude oil production hit an all-time high in July 2025, reaching 4.32 million barrels per day, but the province still has one of the highest unemployment rates in Canada at 8.4%. Pumping more oil with less workers helps the corporation shareholders but doesnāt help working Albertans.

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then thereās all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.
