It's exhausting

The thing people who avoid e-bikes don’t get is the sheer joy they bring to the rider. You can literally go places you can’t in a car, it makes it easier to do things, even parking is easier. I almost always see smiles on peoples faces when they use them. I ride my acoustics for exercise.

Ebikes are not cheating. Driving is cheating

I genuinely don't get why people think this way. When I was talking about why I got an e-bike to one of my colleagues, he asked if I felt like I was cheating. I said something like, "I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm just trying to get across town."

In my experience, the UK leads the world in old men saying e-bikes are “cheating”. Like riding a bike has to be a struggle. E-bikes aren’t easier bikes, they’re harder cars.

I ride my e-bike to the bike shop I manage. Lots of “cheating” remarks from customers. I don’t care. We fix their bikes because of my e-bike! I ran multiple errands yesterday across London promoting our charity. At 61 with dodgy joints it was awesome. Thankyou for your attention to this message.

The guilt some people have around ebikes is really a shame. Just working with an older gent who is looking to electrify. His main concern was he didn't want others to judge him. I assured him that the only opinion that mattered about what was between his legs was his own. Why is this happening?

We should be restarting this project in a few weeks. Hopefully by mid June. The goal is a light weight version that mounts to the seat rails. Perfect for road bikers. It is also much more aerodynamic!
