The thing about the current horrors is that they're not new. For years the US government has separated families via deportations, murdered foreign civilians, and violently suppressed civil liberties. The problem is that now they're all social media addicted freaks so they post about it.

We have seen Christians justify taking up arms and fighting wars in ways that Jesus does not leave room for. We have seen Christians trade & traffic human bodies across oceans. We have seen Christians build organizations on usury. It does us no good to deny this reality. 2/6

We have over 16 centuries worth of historical data on Christians building/aligning with empires and doing awful things to each other and others. Stop insisting that bad actors are not ārealā Christians. Humbly sit with the fact that many real Christians do not follow Jesus. 1/6

Iām glad Van Jones apologized for his sick joking about dead kids in Gaza. But the problem goes deeper: he spread Netanyahu propaganda that the mass killings of civilians in Gazaāincluding 20K+ kidsāis Iranian fake news. Itās not the students and young people who are fooled. Itās Van Jones.

Its proof that these attacks are purely motivated by politics. Ice is only targeting cities in states that would never vote for trump whereas philly is in a state that did. By that same token we dont see ice in texas, missouri, or georgia.

Even if you werenāt pro-abolishing ICE, there clearly should, in a moderately sane environment, be a deep cleansing ā not ethnic or violent, the way the agency likes to do to others esp recently ā of the organization; what more evidence and data do u need that it is lawless, out of control & violent
