Possession of a firearm is not justification for extrajudicial execution

BlueSky won’t let me share the video, but you can see one of the ICE agents rip a gun out of this man’s waistband *before* the shooting starts. From this angle, it’s hard to see how this was anything but an execution, unless simply carrying a gun is now illegal in America.

This pre-shooting video clearly shows victim holding a phone as if to film. Agent lays hands on first. Victim does not resist, walks backwards as agent pushes. Fellow observer does not interfere. Zero indication of aggression from victim, who appears only to be filming.

If you’re not from here, I need to explain this execution was on Eat Street, a commercial corridor of restaurants and coffee shops that literally everyone goes to. Normies, queermos, weirdos, neighborhood folks. Whatever that place is in your city, imagine ICE executing someone in cold blood there.

In 2015 I reported LAPD killing of an unarmed man who’d they’d pinned & were beating. LAPD said he’d reached for a gun. Thru leaked body cams, we were able to prove he hadn’t—but what wld that change? Armed men tackle you, beat you, as if about to kill you? Fighting for yr life is a sane response.

The constitution is set up with checks and balances to stop the government from terrorizing people (among other things). When the checks aren't checking and the balances aren't balancing, you end up with just the people.
