I got to sit next to Susan Egan while she led a convention crowd in a sing-along to “I Won’t Say I’m in Love,” and therefore HERCULES it is.

I am 100 percent in the bag for The Jungle Book. Easily my favorite Disney movie ever. The music is so great on its own.

I'm siding with Walt's final film. Even though Hercules has plenty of great elements, they never fully cohere for me.

"Lady and the Tramp has a 30-vote lead over The Little Mermaid" was not on my bingo card today.

The most interesting part of that Mandalorian trailer is seeing Pedro Pascal's face instead of a tinny voice coming out of a helmet.

Looking forward to seeing how quickly that interview with James Talarico becomes one of Colbert's most-watched YouTube clips.

Really baffled to see The Little Mermaid losing this currently!

Today is the 30th anniversary of the second-best Muppet movie, Muppet Treasure Island. And since it boasts the best human performance from Tim Curry, I wrote about what makes him so special in this essay.

It's awfully difficult to see this as anything other than "Yes, homelessness is an atrocity, but also, ew, the average person shouldn't have to think about that ever."

What the NY Times does not understand (and probably doesn't care about) is that every time they point out that AOC may have had to collect her thoughts for all of, I don't know, five seconds, they only make her more likable. (To the non-insane among of us.)

Today, I have rewatched a movie that made me question my sanity at least a few times.

I know Lady and the Tramp gave us a phenomenal Peggy Lee single, but Little Mermaid is just a masterpiece from top to bottom and began the greatest era of Disney music thanks to Howard Ashman (which was tragically cut too short and I hate that for him/us)

I hate the gargoyles but HOND is traditionally animated and has the "Hellfire" segment so it wins.

The singing gargoyles are rough, but Hunchback has highs that most other Disney movies can’t reach.

Hunchback is possibly the most underrated Disney movie of the renaissance era. But Moana really is one of the greats. I don't know what to pick!

I have kind of a love-hate relationship to HUNCHBACK, but I’m giving it the nod entirely for the amazing Mencken-Schwartz score. “Out There” and “Hellfire” are bangers.

Moana is arguably the biggest achievement of the second Disney renaissance.

Two of their best musicals in terms of actually building and paying off motifs, generating theme and character through song, etc….went with Hunchback, which is a longtime favorite, a really beautiful and ecstatic movie imo. Some truly old-fashioned Hollywood entertainment.

I'll never let it go that THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG wasn't a massive hit at the time of its release, but at least people now respect what a stone-cold classic it is.

Princess and the Frog all the way. I worked with Michael Leon Wooley (Louis the Alligator) for a Dominos Pizza Tracker thing forever ago, and even now he’s one of the most professional VO artists I’ve ever worked with. Will always get my vote. The movie gooood, too.

Keith David is a national treasure. Peter Pan is a charismatic stranger luring children out of their windows.
