I spent 35 years writing code. I'm not gung ho at all about AI because I am old. I come from a time when you had to do shit on your own. Today's techies think that computers can do everything; old heads like me were paranoid and distrustful. The writer in me would have told that guy to go to hell.

I just realized that THE DRAMA and AFTER THE HUNT, two empty provocations that are absolute garbage and use race as one way to provoke, end the exact same way--in a diner. Both endings make their big swings at being satirical and provocative COMPLETELY MOOT.

Despite that Long Duk Dong stuff, this was one of the few John Hughes teenager movies I liked when it came out. Hughes is the primary reason why I usually can't stand movies about teenagers, a bias I always warn readers about in my reviews. I couldn't stand teenager movies when I WAS a teenager.

The bartender at the Monster Bar in the Village seemed very happy and RELIEVED I was at the bar. "It's so good to see you," he said. "One of the guys said 'you know the film critic who comes in here all the time? He DIED!' I thought you were dead." He gave me a free drink. Guess I'll be missed!

I saw a movie with an awesome cat in it, and another one about two privileged rich White people rambling on and on for 90 interminable minutes about fashion and saying absolutely nothing useful.
