It's funny how people always tell me not to read the comments under my reviews at the Globe (I never, EVER do). Considering what I get in my inbox, God knows what the hell's going on under my articles. I've had friends CANCEL their Globe subscriptions after reading the comments under my reviews.

On this COLUMBO, the murderer won best actor for Cyrano. His co-stars are the kid who owned the killer rat in BEN, Lucille Bluth...and Robby the Robot.

Ooh! A STITCH IN CRIME, the COLUMBO episode with Leonard Nimoy is on! Mr. Spock plays the surgeon who commits the murder (one of the more clever ones). Columbo shows up to remind him that murder is indeed very illogical.

Spent the day at the newsroom in Boston. I forgot that I was wearing my Globe I.D. on the orange line. A guy looked at it and said "I always read your reviews every week! You stink!" And yet, he reads me "every week!" Like that Grace Jones perfume in Boomerang, I stink so good!

I dreamt I went on CNN to discuss the election results. All I remembered when I woke up was turning to the camera and saying "Wolf Blitzer, you ain't worth shit!"

Sora 2 is not being “misused” when people use it to produce racist, transphobic, misogynistic, & otherwise vile images—it exists to make it easier to put these images out into the world. Calling it a “misuse” is a grave misunderstanding of what these companies are up to, & lets OpenAI off the hook.

Believe it or not, PREDATOR: BADLANDS is a screwball comedy. It's basically IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT with a Predator monster. And I liked it.

I won't go that far (like I did with PREY), but I had a helluva good time watching this movie.

I'm doing an article on SUNSET BLVD.'s anniversary. So I went back to the slideshow I presented at the Coolidge seminar I did back in 2023. I told a story I read about BrackettandWilder's inspiration for the movie. I forgot I had this slide taking a swipe at my least favorite filmmaker.

Throughout my office working life, I've always been amused by these "anonymous" work surveys that ask for your department and your race/gender. Because in the 38 years I've been in an office of any stripe, 95% of that time I have been the ONLY Black man/person in that dept. Anonymous survey my ass!

I'm still laughing about that White woman who wanted me to come on her show to "debate the merits of Elvis Presley" because she didn't like my review of "Priscilla." I should have gone on her show and sang Public Enemy's "Fight the Power." I am Miss Arlene's Eldest Boy. I will hurt your feelings.
