I really enjoy Outer Worlds 2, but it desperately needs a free respec. I understand it wants choices to matter, but it occasionally feels bad to have gone with a Sneak/Sniper build with very little opportunity to play that way without alerting the whole goddamn map.

I’m still not sure which Knives Out film I like the most, but I think I feel pretty confident in saying the Louise phone call from Wake Up Dead Man is my favorite scene in the whole trilogy

Fun weird little factoid: I believe this past Saturday is the first time since the 20th Amendment that the House has adjourned its first session sine die and begun its second session on a weekend.

Discworld QOTD, from Equal Rites “Zoon tribes are very proud of their Liars. Other races get very annoyed about all this. They feel that the Zoon ought to have adopted more suitable titles, like ‘diplomat’ or ‘public relations officer’. They feel they are poking fun at the whole thing.”

I don't know what happened, but the only good Reeses now are the seasonal ones, and the average regular old Reeses cup is somehow now genuinely pretty gross.

If you'd like to reduce your blood pressure and eliminate a lot of needless in-fighting, I'd recommend muting or blocking Axios, Politico and Semafor as they seem to specialize in promoting quotes from anonymous Democratic contrarians in hopes of generating rage and engagement.

yep. i can identify any number of structural issues but at the end of the day the basic problem is the republican party. this has been apparent for at least 20 years. it is also an incredibly unpopular observation to make among “serious” people.

A CBS News staffer told me this after Tony Dokoupil kicked off his CBS Evening News tenure tonight with a lengthy Pete Hegseth interview: "If this is what Bari and Tony’s CBS Evening News is going to look like, then the we may as well just call ourselves Trump Administration State TV. Pathetic."

Perhaps now people will stop wishcasting about the US military refusing illegal orders. That's not a thing that happens. The 100% compliance rate with using civilian boats for target practice was a bit of a tell.

Dear friend, Mr. Trump's coronation last week was a disgrace. As I bowed in protest, I thought to myself "What has become of our nation" Now it's all up to us. Can you spare $5, $10, or even $20 so I can attend the royal feast to continue the fight?

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. It’s about oil and regime change. And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.
