New Brugge Guide entry: MƔs, Academiestraat. This is not a beer bar, but a small plates restaurant. I'm putting it in the Guide as it has a rather interesting beer list, with a mix of modern & classic beers:

I'm expecting Frank to be sacked if we lose tonight. My grand unifying theory is football was better when players were drawn from local communities & managerial tenure was measured in years. Unconstrained greed priced out fans, created bad owners, trigger happy boards & screwed lower league clubs.

Halifax, the birthplace of Percy Shaw, on Wednesday! It was Shaw that invented the catseyes that you see on roads after seeing the reflection of a cat's eyes as he drove towards it. The following night the cat was walking the other way and Shaw invented the furry pencil sharpener.

One of my highlights of 2025 was doing the Suez Canal Northbound and Southbound within a week. I used to use the Ever Given as a marker for how bad a day had been (at least you didn't cause a week of shipping chaos, etc), but they literally built multiple monuments to commerate it?!
