I have to send a strongly worded email to chase a reply to a slightly peeved email I sent last week, and I just don't think I have it in me today. Why can't people just do their jobs properly the first time?!

I got to have a tour of these U-Boat pens last summer. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures because we were initially told we wouldn't be allowed to take photos so I didn't even take my phone. It's an impressive structure. Hopefully they can figure out funding/management/access to make it a museum.

Hamnet is one of the only books that has made me cry in public (took it to a restaurant when dining solo & it hit a nerve I didn't think I had), so I'm going to need someone to watch the new film & let me know how close it is to the book before I commit to seeing it in the cinema myself.

One of my highlights of 2025 was doing the Suez Canal Northbound and Southbound within a week. I used to use the Ever Given as a marker for how bad a day had been (at least you didn't cause a week of shipping chaos, etc), but they literally built multiple monuments to commerate it?!

Today I've mostly been reminding myself that I don't need to learn a new instrument, I'm just bored. And if I *do* think I have capacity to learn a new instrument, maybe I should put that energy into practising the ones I'm already neglecting. I hate it when I'm sensible 😔

Absolutely a First World Problem, but I've gotta say that after leaving UK waters in September & being in the Mediterranean ever since, this weather & lack of daylight is quite a shock to the system.
