Caerphilly apparently. I honestly, honestly despise this stuff. They have nothing to offer, nothing to say, nothing to hope for, nothing to aspire to, no solutions, nothing. Just hate and lies.

fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you

Support this, both for 'why do we have a civil service internship scheme if NOT to broaden the talent pipeline for it' reasons and for 'this is going to produce some truly amazing takes' reasons.

I spent last night in the sweatiest room in the world after driving from Cardiff to London, and then drove back again. I wouldn’t change one stupid decision for another five years of life.

I dont know whether to think of this as an homage or a partial cover or a spiritual successor, but I love it. Long may the sleaze revival continue.

Among U.S. and European adults, greater wealth was associated with lower mortality. The difference in mortality between the wealthiest and poorest appeared to be larger in the United States than in Europe. Learn more in a Special Article:

I think the 3rd point here is the most important. UK goods exports to the UK are just not large enough for tariffs to be a *major* economic shock (though of course they will do some damage). The wider impact to the global economy (demand, confidence, investment, interest rates) is much worse.

Maybe everyone can see it now, but the world's richest people have tanked it all to restock assets and get liquid after years of illegally playing with funny money. They used "the wokeness" as a cudgel and it worked. The next Disney princess WILL be white, as we all eat beans under the highway.

My bullshit-ometer went off immediately, and guess what... the article itself contradicts the headline. In fact, most migrants speak English as their first language. But 8.6% - equal to 794,332 people -"can not speak English well" And 1.4% - equal to 137,876 - can not speak it at all.
