You know what some of the people pushing the LA election fraud conspiracies have in common? They built, grew, and energized their audience around smearing Blake Lively. If you can believe anti-MeToo conspiracies, you can believe that elections are stolen and votes are fraudulent.

As a progressive Jew & son of Israelis: 1. We have been warning you about how antisemitism destroys movements from within. 2. Many white leftists blame Israel for everything to avoid focusing on their own role in white supremacy. 3. Accepting Nazis into the movement is proof of both of the above.

And that's the goal. Terrorism is not just about the people it targets, but the terror it instills in onlookers. And this uses the same logic.

I cannot describe the sickness I feel watching people who once acted with horror at those denying sexual assault allegations from October 7th now angrily denying the same allegations about Israel's prisons. Nothing displays people's hypocrisy more than when they can only see this on the other side.

To weaponize the term "blood libel" to dismiss Kristof's thorough reporting is dangerous. It's insulting to the term's violent history and hinders our community's ability to call out actual blood libels when they occur.

It's also worth noting that transphobia functions as a pipeline into antisemitism and vice versa, and that this dates back as far as the original Nazis, and that the pipeline functions even if there isn't anti-Zionism involved. See also: J.K. Rowling.

The people you can most reliably track as "anti-Zionist who is also antisemitic" are the folks who have also been openly transphobic. Kasparian, Greenwald, Carlson. Left and right, this is the common thread for many.

Labeling anyone who calls the war in Gaza a genocide "AntiJewish" damages the fight against antisemitism. It feeds the cynicism people feel when a word like that gets thrown around, and it dilutes the weight of terms we need to protect our community from actual offenses. 1/2

These clips are WILD. Once upon a time, Greenblatt at least pretended to try to balance "both sides" of the political spectrum. Today, he's openly saying that the ADL is an anti-democratic, anti-liberal, anti-coalition organization. In other words, he feels it should be a right wing org.
