Finished book 5 and into book 6 and sadly similar feelings to what I had with the show. The Free Navy comes out of nowhere with Ramsey Bolton-level plot armor. Four books were plenty of time to plant seeds for this and they just didn't. Pressing on, but my god does book 6 have POV bloat.
