so one reason why we should never elect rich assholes anymore is they say shit like “the strait will open like magic” because they think they have better dna than us and thats why everything has always worked out for them and not people sucking up to them and the 8 figure trust fund

This is good but the main thing is: these guys don't want to make art -- they want to *have made art.* They want people to look at the art they can't bother making and praise and respect them for it. Because generally they feel they deserve the world's respect without doing anything to earn it.

Keep in mind the “protest” is a direct blockade of the ICE entrance. Establishing a separate “zone” negates the protest, helping clear the path for ICE. Sherrill is assisting ICE operations.

It remains baffling to me that we have a clear constitutional requirement that the president can't enrich himself on the job, something we had no problem enforcing strictly for hundreds of years, and then this sweaty conman came by and the nation just sorta shrugged it off.

Democrats self-sabotaged in 2024 when they stopped talking about these guys as the weird perverts and assholes that they are. Most of the country sees people like Stephen Miller and think they're gross monsters. They will always respond well when leaders/institutions that affirm their gut vibes.

One of my strongest takeaways from the Bee this week is that it was a showcase for why critical thinking matters more than ever. So much of what the kids do up there isn’t rote memorization—it’s using their insane prep to solve words like puzzles (using etymology, patterns) in real time.
