Even more striking: The world will also surpass the 2040 projection for "maximum policy effort" ('450 Scenario' from 2015 WEO, 2232 GW) sometime next year. So what was supposed to be achievable only with herculean efforts in 25 years, happened in 10 years with moderate policy support. Prices matter!
