This is slightly corny but I think it's true - the thing about DSA candidates that *actually* freaks out the ancien regime dems is that they are young, energetic, and clearly very motivated to do specific things

I was out for a long walk on the Minuteman Bikeway in Arlington yesterday morning, and at one point was passed by someone wearing a maroon "GRAVEL BOSTON" jersey.

Burgum’s “I’m not sure why you keep questioning it” isn’t a genuine question here: it’s a signal to the public to remind them that the emperor is not to be questioned.

This has been the most spiritually bankrupt celebration of anything I've ever seen and that's it, that's our 250th. We don't get to go back and redo it, this one's in the books: Temu Arch, cheesy architecture, horrible displays, AI everywhere. Far right propaganda. Jokes at our expense

subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it.

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than by getting a bunch of my novels, with a big chunk of your purchase price going to World Central Kitchen, my selected charity for this bundle. Pay what you like (the more you pay, the more you get), and help feed people in need all over the world.

This is Patriot Front's formula, btw. The whole thing is a membership dues scam, and they sneak their members into various metro areas in the back of U-Hauls to avoid advance detection. They hold a very quick little loser parade and run away as fast as they can in said U-Hauls

If you believe a dirigible can propeller its way over the Statue of Liberty and drop a hundred ton pregnant whale to birth twins right on the torch of freedom and they’re automatically citizens, you’re no American.

Cape Verdeans are now honorary Philadelphians because that was basically ROCKY. They weren't "supposed" to be there, much less going the distance with the champions and the GOAT, who had to give it everything they've got just to eek out a win in overtime. Bravo.

Now that you’ve gone through the experience of not being able to see images for a while, try to remember how much less useful it was if you saw alt text saying “screenshot of article” instead of the actual text What would you want to have described to you if you couldn’t see the image? Do that

So you know how you can’t see images right now, but when the images have alt text you still know what they were supposed to be? That’s why alt text is important. Accessibility benefits everyone!
