How about a law that says a state of emergency declared by the President only lasts until Congress can call an emergency session to confirm it? 48 hours should be long enough in a real emergency. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Congress met the next day and declared war before lunch.

It's pretty much impossible to keep an accurate running tally of the lies, distortions and delusions in this #SOTU speech. Just too many, too fast. I'm sure that's deliberate. But some of them (ex., "cheating is rampant in our elections") are really egregious.
