For the first time ever I made it through the gauntlet of Whamageddon unscathed. Just made a donation to Terrence Higgins Trust as I know George Michael was a big supporter of this charity during his life. Merry Christmas! 🎄

George's Christmas Jukebox Advent Calendar A daft thread where I will post a Christmas song every day until Christmas Day. Hopefully drawing attention to some different songs than the 12 that get endlessly repeated on UK radio - or at least interesting covers/variants thereof.

🧀Some (very Friday in August) polling. Does your favourite cheese affect how you vote? Reform have huge leads with fans of Stilton & Cheddar, but also people who don't eat cheese at all. Labour dominates among Feta fans. Tories best result is Brie & Greens with Camembert.

I've been thinking a lot about this post since I read it a couple of days ago. Broadly speaking, left/centre voters believe Brexit followed by Covid are the points where "everything went wrong". But if you're right wing, you think Blair's election was much worth for the path of Britain. 1/x
