Coming on here real quick to say I HATE THE TSA and YOU CAN FLY WITHOUT A REAL ID!! I just flew and if you don't have a real ID/passport you just need additional screening. For me that meant one flight they swabbed my fingers the second time my phone and computer. Both took less than 5mins.
