One of the biggest problems in the philanthropic foundations and nonprofit grants world is that every source is looking for new ideas rather than paying for the boring ones we know work.

Hello everyone! As you may know, this weekend on Sunday, July 19th, we planned to have our next Mondo Queer Beach Party. Due to multiple factors (AQI, smoke, intense heat) aligning this weekend, after much consideration we decided to cancel the event.

Biddeford is my hometown and where I spent the first ~20 years of my life. Minnesota has been home for ~15 years now. These 2026 headlines feel so surreal. And it’s a painful reminder that this is happening here, now, “close to home”All of our homes. Stay safe. Fuck ICE.

My soul is as intact as it was the last time I put my body on the line to defend my neighbors. I simply recognize that I have enemies, some of whom are evil. When evil leaves this world, the world is better for it. My ability to discern this has no impact on my soul.

When encampments are closed, people don't get housed. They get scattered to the suburbs or to places where outreach workers can't find them. That's not help. That's displacement.

I've lived in some of these shelters myself, in St. Paul and in other areas of MN. I've been fed by Dorothy Day and Loaves and Fishes. I know firsthand what the city calls "help." It's dehumanizing. It's micromanaged. You're controlled, judged, and treated like a criminal just for existing.

I keep seeing defenses of Al Franken whenever the news highlights sexual assault by D politicians (Swalwell, Platner), the idea being that Franken is an example of someone who was unfairly treated and CLEARLY we memory holed that entire controversy. This was his SEVENTH accuser, a Democratic aide:
