As Minnesotans of different backgrounds who love our state and the people in it, we are horrified by the terrible act of violence today at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Our thoughts are with the students, families, staff, and community who have been most directly impacted.

While we won't have pizza, unless somebody can get a bunch donated, we will have free snacks and beverages for all! TIGERRS is looking for more folks to help out with all three Mondo Queer Beach Parties this summer. We would love to have about 15 volunteers for each event when possible, especially help with tear down in the evening.

Little TIGERRS was lucky enough to get to visit the new St Paul home of The Donut Trap a few weeks ago. We got to decorate our own donuts with a wide variety of toppings. The sugar rush fed the youths' play for the rest of the morning. We also did chalk art and went to a playground nearby.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day! It's important to recognize the intersectionality between autism and gender identity. Studies show that transgender and gender expansive individuals are more likely to be on the autism spectrum, with rates up to six times higher than the general population.

We are celebrating Reneka Evans, a Black trans leader dedicated to community health in Minnesota. With over two decades of service, she has worked at the African American AIDS Task Force, the Red Door Clinic, and now leads LGBTQ+ outreach for the Minnesota Department of Health’s COVID-19 response.

Morgan Holmes is an author, activist, and professor of Sociology. She is well known for being part of the first public demonstration by intersex people after her and associate Max Beck's exclusion from a clinical conference, the anniversary of which is now marked by Intersex Awareness Day.
