This comes from yet again having someone pitch a pbta game to me as a system they made, and then seeing a KS in progress make similar claims in rapid succession

If you discover that your totally original and bespoke system #TTRPG is the same as an existing system of play… just acknowledge that system. The is double true when that system is Powered by The Apocalypse and untrue is that system is owned by a large corp.
