In case anyone needs to know this - you can dual boot windows and a linux distro of your choice. Every time I turn on my computer I can choose to boot into windows or ubuntu studio. My windows partition lives on a 500gb ssd by itself like a demon locked away in a grimoire (ubuntu is on its own 1tb).
